Saving patterns for web
If you need to save a single tile for the web, you should copy/paste group with this tile to a new document.
Resize the group to get the tile size you need. Then select a rectangle in the bottom layer of the group and convert it to artboard (Object/Convert to Artboards). Save this artboard for web (File/Save for Web & Devices...).
